In case you didn't see Tensor's note on 3K, this is a friendly reminder that 3Scapes relies on a free and finite labor source known as "wizards" to bring you this wonderful virtual world that we all play in. These wizards work day in and day out behind the scenes to bring you new and improved content, often with little fanfare or reward. If you've ever stopped to think "What can I do to say thanks?" you could do just that, but even better would be to purchase something off a wizard's Amazon wishlist, or get them a gift card. This tangible reward is a great way to show your appreciation for a favorite coder and/or to encourage him to continue adding new content to our game in 2011. Finger your favorite wizard (not like that, you perv) to find their wishlist and if they haven't posted one, please encourage them to do so. Like before, if you get an active wizard something off their Amazon wishlist (or gift card) during the drive, the value of the gift (including shipping - but you must use the cheapest shipping possible) will be awarded to your VAF credit at *TWICE* the amount. The gift must be off their Amazon wish list or be an Amazon gift card, and you'll get the credit as soon as the wizard recipient lets me know they have received the item or you forward me the receipt. If you have any questions at all, ask me first, before you buy. The drive runs from today until 9:45pm on Friday December 17th. All VAF credit gained from the "wishlist drive" does not count toward next year's OMP drive, but, every person who sends gifts or gift cards totaling $25 or more gets their name put into a hat. If you send $100 or more you get TWO entries. At 10pm the closing Friday, something special happens. Two names are drawn from the hat. The first person drawn will get their pick of the sweet prizes listed below. The second person drawn will get their pick of what's left. Here are the prizes: * Nintendo DSi * 10MP Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera * Amazon Kindle * Game System (choice of Nintendo Wii or XBox 360) * $100 Amazon Gift Card These things will be shipped out immediately to the winners upon choice (US address only, except for the Amazon card) and the rest will be at next year's OMP for you! In case it's not clear yet, this promotion effectively cuts the cost for VAF perks in half for you, gets a wizard a cool present or two, gives you a chance for an awesome prize and helps us all be even more of a happy family.
