Thorne's Contraption

    HELP WANTED-
 
      Are you the kind of person that chases glory, confronts challenges, 
    and doesn't think too much about the consequences? That's what I'm 
    looking for. The stronger the better. I've finally finished my project 
    and need test subjects-
                                  Don't say that, say heroes!
    What? Oh, er, yeah, sure, let's go with that. I need _heroes_ willing to 
    breach a new (and very old) frontier- traveling centuries back in time. 
 
      The structure and order that allow society to exist, allow people to 
    cooperate instead of fighting amongst themselves like scavengers, that 
    didn't come about by accident. Key points in history shaped society to 
    be what it is today. I have identified three such points and need 
    exceptional individuals (or groups, that would actually be better) 
    brave enough, hardy enough, and careless enough to be willing to have 
    my device reduce you to subatomic particles and stream you across the 
    divide of spacetime. No scrubs, though, I didn't put in all this work 
    just to paint interesting stains on the past.
 
      Retrieve these artifacts of Order for me, and your whole world will 
    change. 
 
      I'm working out of my garage, near Chicago in Chaos. Door's unlocked 
    and security has been recalibrated to no longer vaporize the 
    unauthorized.
