New Muddriver

So most of you probably heard about 3k working on migrating to the new muddriver. Well, so are we. We've been in talks with Thor about this for about a year (actually, in a week it's exactly a year). He's been doing a ton of hard work to bring us up to the state where we're at, which is basically that the mud is booting. There's no reasonable way to do a time estimation of when we'll be done but until then quite some of our time will be spent there rather than develop things here. To put this into perspective, we're on LDMud 3.2.15 which is a patched version of 3.2.13 which was released in November 2005. So, why are we doing this? Well, there's plenty of good features, changes and bug features with the more modern driver. Support for 64-bit is something that's mentioned a lot on 3k but the programming language (LPC) has also developed a lot which gives us improved tools to create more wild stuff and develop the mud even further.
